It remains a critical foundation for empowering future leaders, promoting gender equality, and breaking the cycle of poverty. In recognition of this, The Bakhita Initiative JDPC Sokoto, under the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto and with support from Die Sternsinger, hosted a one-day seminar on April 30th, 2025, in Sokoto State.

The seminar brought together PTA and SBMC members from two diocesan schools — St. Patrick Schools, Illela and Holy Family Schools, Sokoto — as part of the ongoing Girl-Child Mentorship and Educational Enrollment Project.

This initiative reinforces the importance of community engagement in creating safe and supportive learning environments for girls. By mentoring and enrolling girls in school, we are investing in their potential and shaping a brighter, more inclusive future.
